I have personally been practising mindfulness for many years.
Sitting still and just being me felt really hard at the beginning.
I was convinced that I had to have an empty mind and that my mind would finally stop wandering.
It took me some time to really understand that acceptance is at the heart of mindfulness. And that I didn’t have to control or change my thoughts and feelings: they were perfect as they just were.
Acceptance may be the hardest part to get to, on your journey, but from acceptance comes freedom and from freedom comes peace and joy.
In my life coaching practice, my work focused more and more on stress-related topics:
- Constant busyness
- Creeping workload at work and at home
- Non-effective communication
- Emotional blocks
This year, I decided to include the teaching of mindfulness in my work. It’s one of the best decision I’ve ever made in my life. I feel privileged to support and guide my students and clients onto their mindful living journey. Some are beginners and some want to deepen their mindfulness practice.
Each class has a dedicated and unique theme, meaning that your mindfulness practice always has a purpose.
This is quite different from the traditional mindfulness teaching where mindfulness practices are often coupled with yoga or they are meditation 101.
My mindfulness classes are reflective, experiential and creative. Your whole body and mind will feel engaged and at the same time you will feel relaxed and unwind.
