Mental Movement Magazine Announces Launch of Free Online Mental Health Community on World Mental Health Day 2023

by Mental Movement Magazine

We are excited to announce the soft launch of a new, free online community set to launch on World Mental Health Day, October 10th, 2023.

This innovative community aims to provide a supportive space for individuals facing mental health challenges to connect, share their stories, find hope, and learn from one another’s therapeutic journeys.

In a world where the demand for mental health services is growing, we recognise the importance of community support for those who may be waiting for therapy or facing financial barriers to private treatment. Our new online community seeks to offer a lifeline to individuals seeking understanding and connection to a community of people who get it.

online mental health community“Mental Movement Magazine was founded in 2014 with the primary objective of forging connections among individuals grappling with mental health challenges. Our mission was twofold: to help guide people towards creative avenues such as writing and to foster a caring community that offered solace and valuable opportunities to bridge gaps in their professional journeys,” explains Emma Williams, co-founder and award-winning Community Builder. “In retrospect, it becomes evident that we were laying the foundation for a profound community. Thus, it is only natural to chart our course in this direction and unite the remarkable individuals who have, in various ways, engaged with Mental Movement Magazine. Our aim is to facilitate constructive, supportive, and enlightening dialogues concerning the mental health challenges confronting people today.”

The online community, while not a substitute for therapy and unsuitable for individuals in crisis, provides a therapeutic space away from traditional social media platforms. It will also connect members with leading experts in the mental health field, offering valuable insights and guidance.

During its one-year beta phase, the community will be supported by its parent company, House of Self, an award-winning therapy brand based in London. Mental Movement Magazine invites brands and professionals to become Brand partners or community sponsors to ensure the platform remains safe and sustainable for its members.

To work with us as a Brand partner or community sponsor, please contact Emma Williams at hello@mentalmovement.co.uk.

Individuals interested in becoming founding members and contributing to the growth of this transformative platform are encouraged to complete a brief registration form at https://tally.so/r/mJqqao.

We sincerely look forward to building a global network of support, encouragement, and hope for those navigating the challenges of mental health and can’t wait to meet you!

Please note: The Mental Movement Magazine Online Community Platform is for people over the age of 18 only. The space will be available to access 24/7 with community moderators and support available during working hours. We ask all members to keep the safe space and to adhere to our community guidelines. The platform is not therapy, nor is it a replacement for therapy. If you are in crisis, please do not use this community and seek immediate mental health support by visiting your local A&E or connect with your GP as soon as possible.
